How to Align Warped Lumber

I love watching an experienced carpenter work alone. In my early years I learned to love the profession by watching journeymen find leverage or magically create an extra set of hands by tapping into common sense and finding alternate uses for the tools and fasteners they have at hand. It really teaches one to look at problems as a challenge to innovate.

Thinking outside the box starts with not drawing one around yourself.

Two videos with a very common technique found on formwork sites and framing sites. This one is quickest and usually the easiest as well.

An alternative solution to the first video is to place the lower board in the middle and then run a piece of scrap across all 3, then drive a screw through the scrap piece and into the lower board to allow the screw to suck the middle board flush with the other two.
