I started with Nikita Construction shortly after Easter of 2022. In January of 2023 I was asked to become a team leader and have had the pleasure of working alongside some great people. My leadership style is one that celebrates the team members when victories are achieved and accepts sole responsibility when targets are missed.

During my time here, I performed various tasks on a private residence who's owner had fallen ill in the middle of a large scale renovation. The tasks involved framing, minor electrical, insulation, drywall, taping, painting, flooring and landscaping.

Contributing member of small crew responsible for various tasks pertaining to construction of custom homes, commercial ‘big-box’ retail stores and municipal office improvements. Communicate with site supervisors and team members to complete project objectives on schedule.

Gained valuable experience in building industry operations and processes as first year apprentice for unionized industrial scaffold company. Paid second year apprentice rates as a form of recognition for exemplary work performance and increased responsibility.

Prior to 2013 I have held other positions related to construction in the form of 1. Assistant Project Manager for large offices in Toronto's Financial District. 2. Rendering Artist for the Maple Leaf Gardens renovation. 3. Architectural Technologist for both an architectural and a design firm.

An in-depth course on manual and computer assisted drafting, the organization of working drawings, shop drawings, preliminary drawings, close-out drawings, design and building science, Project Management is also covered along with an introduction to load calculations, beam spans, etc.
